A Pittsburgh nun showed how tough she is.

Last week, Sister Mary Madalyn Schleifer chased down a suspected credit card thief at the Sacred Heart of Jesus religious goods store.

A customer had put down her purse. That’s when the thief took the credit cards.

Schleifer made a split-second decision to chase after the person.

Sister Schleifer recovered the cards. She said, “I just think she was misled.”

This isn’t the first time Sister has confronted a robber. She was threatened with being shot on a different occasion after someone stole an expensive necklace.

She recalled, “As he was walking out the door, and I started following him, he turned around and says, ‘I don’t wanna have to shoot you,’ and I said, ‘Listen, all I want to tell you is that Jesus loves you.’ So, and then he went out, then I went out after him.”
