California engineer Brandon Dawson won the 52nd World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in Half Moon Bay with a pumpkin weighing 2,346 pounds!
His prize-winning jack-o-lantern pumpkin weighs as much as a small sedan or a large bison.
Dawson told the ‘AP’, “My mind is kind of racing because I was in this position last year when I lost by 6 pounds.”
As a manufacturing engineer for an electric vehicle company, he says his job gave him the precision skills to lock in the right sun exposure and watering schedule.
